For the past 11 years, the SCLS car show has been held at the Bridgewater public library. Sadly, this is the first one that I’ve actually gotten to attend. I usually forget or find out it happened after the fact, but this time I threw?my trusty Canon 7D, the Sigma 17-70mm and the Canon 40mm in my Case Logic bag and headed for the show!
SCLS Car Show
The turnout was good – it’s not a big show, but?does?draw a nice crowd and some top notch cars. The best part, in my eyes, is that they invite the public to judge the cars. They hand you a slip of paper and a pencil when you’re entering the show and ask you to vote. Best In Show, Best Motor, Best Interior, Dream Car, etc. It’s a nice touch and really makes the spectators feel involved. It’s also interesting to see what the audience prefers – a nice restoration, good old American muscle or a custom hot rod.
The variety was surprising to me. From a restored 1926 Model T to a mid-80’s circuit-racing Trans Am?and a little bit of everything in between.
I’m glad I finally got there. There were some gorgeous cars that I hadn’t seen before and had no idea were in our area. Below is a gallery of some of my favorites from the show.
